Mrs Bear (art print)

Mrs Bear (art print)

Mrs Bear stirs spinach stew,

waiting for the little bear,

when little bear comes home from school,

he’ll sit down on his wooden stool,

slurping stew, telling his mom,

about his day and all the fun!

Watercolor and colored pencil illustration in bright yellow, endearing red and greens, making Mrs. Bear’s late morning feel ever so joyful!

I drew this picture in my first illustration class. She’s basically me (as a bear) in my kitchen, which has those exact colors (our house is from the 50s, and we kept the kitchen original, including the white metal cabinets). I love wearing aprons with cute prints. Some are as old as I am, and once sewn by my granny who was a professional tailor and lived in Frankfurt. These are the best fitting aprons I own, because they’re small, and I am too. Mrs. Bear is not. She’s quite big, but not scary at all. The details:

  • I can hardly believe it’s NOT an original painting: Somerset Velvet Paper looks and feels just like high quality watercolor paper - raw, sturdy, textured.

  • Highest printing quality: My prints are created using the Giclée (zhee-CLAY) printing process, where professional archival inks are spayed (French: “giclée”) onto archival paper. Giclée prints beautifully reproduce the vibrant colors and high resolution details of the original painting!

  • Heart-made locally: Printed by a lovely small father-and-daughter business here in Buffalo, NY!

  • Size: This is an 8”x10” print. It fits perfectly in an 8”x10” frame (without a mat), or in a 11”x14” frame (with a 11”x14” mat). Mats and frames are NOT included!

  • Always $5 within the US, no matter how much you buy (so fill up your cart)!
